Welcome to the website for Scotland’s newest dynamic record label,
Spinning Records...
Spinning Records is a Glasgow based dance music label set up
in 2006 to release the extended back catalogue of the infamous
Monkeytribe & their genre-hopping
vocalist,
MC Soom T. With a view to taking on other ground breaking
artists over the coming years, Spinning Records provides a
home base from which to promote & release the music of the highly
unique artists & bands that continue to spring forth from the
rapidly expanding Scottish music scene.
Releasing digitally worldwide & via all good record stores,
Spinning Records are proud to announce their debut releases, two
EP’s from Glasgow’s electronic hip hop collective
Monkeytribe entitled “Get with the
Program” & “The Dark Side of the
Baboon”. Further Monkeytribe releases & an extended
compilation CD of MC Soom T’s recent guest appearances with the
likes of The Orb,
T.Raumschmiere &
Asian
Dub Foundation are planned for 2006.
